Our client is looking for someone just like you!
You'll be working for a large well known broadcaster based over in west London.
General Summary:
Develop and execute a programme planning and promo tables strategy for Russia, Balkans and WCIS to support the channel vision developed by the Head of Programming, Deputy Head of Channels with a view to improving relevance with audience, advertising sales and affiliates
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute scheduling and programme planning strategy of TLC channels in specific markets
- - Work with counterparts at the various channels and departments of the broadcaster
- - Developing programming schedules in advance of sales, affiliates and listings requirements (6-12 months in advance)
- Liaise with Research to develop full understanding of ratings information and impact on schedule
- Liaise with central Programming team on programme selection and processing
- Understand competitor channels and market influences and their impact on the TLC audience/viewing schedule
- Build knowledge of library and how best to utilize programme assets in local markets
- Communicate strategy and schedules internally, including VP Programming, Ad Sales Director, Commercial Managers
- - Advise on required acquisitions to Head of Programming and VP Programming
- - Identify potential acquisitions, faces and subject matter to grow the channels
- Work closely with Ad Sales team to ensure saleable propositions exist in key months
- Execution of schedules onto planning systems
- - Accurate input of schedules into IBMS
- - Weekly communication with relevant Broadcast Scheduling staff to ensure continuity
- - Input into Comm Ops promotional schedule to support overall programming strategy
Requirements:
- Substantial experience in programme planning, preferably with regional or relevant content experience
- Proven ability to revitalize a channel through improved scheduling techniques
- Knowledge of scheduling systems and good Excel essential
- Team player
- Russian language essential
- Love of a fast moving content driven environment
Metrics:
- Ability to prioritise multiple markets and activities
- Proven success in delivering a commercially successful programming strategy
- An inquisitive nature and love of factual and lifestyle content

Job Purpose
- Responsible for the creative execution of on brand continuity for two or more channels within the channel Portfolio.
- To translate the brand model/tone through all continuity elements.

- To work alongside creative/graphics team to produce elements for continuity and navigation.
Person spec
- Proven creative and editorial experience within broadcasting (Scripting/Directing Voiceovers/Producing Presentation/interstitial elements/Radio)
- Proven track record and experience of voice and script direction.
- Excellent copywriting skills.
- Strong motivator with positive, proactive behaviour within team and outwardly to the business.
- Strong knowledge and experience of broadcasting process across all platforms relevant to Continuity.
- Excellent communicator on all levels.
- Excellent relationship-building across all levels.
- Experience of working to and delivering to a creative brief.
- Good understanding of Navigational elements.
- Excellent organisational skills

Our client, a well established broadcaster based in W London needs an experienced scheduler to come and help them out!
The Scheduler's primary role is to prepare and deliver accurate daily transmission schedules for all networks, optimizing event placement to support the business and department objectives.
The role requires excellent communication skills to ensure efficient coordination of the various inputs of other departments and external parties.
Key Responsibilities amongst others:
- Responsible for all final schedule checks and ensuring all compliance requirements are achieved.
- Actively support the Team Leader in working collaboratively with other departments such as Planning, On Air & Ad Sales to ensure their requirements are being fulfilled within the schedules.
- Take a proactive role in the on-air look and strategy of the channel by regular monitoring and reviewing of feed.
Requirements:
- Strong experience in Presentation Scheduling, Broadcast Traffic or related area preferred.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Flexible approach to work.
- Willingness to take responsibility and work on own initiative or as part of a small team covering multiple feeds.
- A basic Knowledge of Ofcom.
- Knowledge of scheduling systems (IBMS preferred)

Specific Description:
- Ensure that Production Coordinator is given sufficient workflow/projects that will help the rest of the team
- Carry out bi monthly 1-1s and feedback post production concerns to individual Members
- Respond to co-ordinator concerns in regards to resourcing and work flow frustrations
- Make suggestions to the head of production for training as appropriate
- Complete PDRs and objectives
General Description: External bookings/freelancers
Specific Description:
- Ensure that competitive rates are obtained for external facilities and freelancers
- Ensure that FW is robustly checked before booking external facilities
- Oversee list of regular freelancers and ensure best rates
- Oversee freelancer bookings
- Ensure P/O’s are raised for any additional resources needed and clear with HoP before confirmation
